The vast Kingdom of Baalskar is comprised of 7 territories, each briefly described below. A map of the Kingdom of Baalskar can also be found at the bottom of this page for convenience. BAALSKAR is clearly the largest territory stretching from the elven resort town of Glaemril out west, north to the giant port city of Targon and then east past the capital city of Baalskar to the Purple Valley region east of the Baalskar Mountains. The city-state of Baalskar provides leadership to the Kingdom as it is by far the largest city in the land. Since the beginning of the Great War, Baalskar no longer has any jurisdiction over the Eastern lands.
ELENDOR is the northern territory controlled by the Wood Elves. Most of the elves live in the Elendor Forest in which outsiders are forbidden to enter. Anyone or any sized army who attempts to enter into these woods will be slain by wood elven snipers. These elves are neutral however and do not participate in the Great War and rarely socialize with the outside world. There are some reports of these elves have supported Baalskar during the Great War.
THE WESTLANDS is a small territory located in the westernmost region of Baalskar at the edge of the Great Desert. This territory is comprised of three small cities including the western outpost of Baron and the strange barbarian city of Schilling. There are also three remote fishing villages along the North Sea which consider themselves part of this territory. The people of this region are mostly desert herders and exotic spice gatherers.
MARUK is dwarf country with its three largest cities carved into the northern side of the Maruk Mountains. These dwarves are strictly miners, with the city of Maruk being the largest producer of ore in the Kingdom and Haron mostly famous for its rare gemstones. The dwarven city of Korac at the mouth of the Maruk canyon serves as a fortification for repelling armies of monsters attempting to invade the West by sailing north along the Targon River.
ZEMON is the center of the alliance between evil men & monsters which has invaded this once peaceful Kingdom. Lord Dragomor of Zemon has aligned his city of Zemongar along with the invading armies of monsters, providing them with leadership & training. The newly erected city of monsters, Orgobakh, has already dwarfed Zemongar and is second only to Baalskar itself in size. Baalskar's newly erected fortress of New Empyria can hardly repel these growing armies.
VARN is the conquered fishing territory in the northeastern lands of Baalskar. Varn was once a thriving region with the great fishing & whaling cities of Varn and Drummond along the North Sea and the best universities in the academic city of Empyria. However at the beginning of the Great War the invading monster armies destroyed these cities as the West regrouped and erected the Great Eastern Gate of Baalskar to block the monsters from invading westward.
VANDOR has always been mostly a vast, unexplored territory occupying the southeast region of Baalskar. Although beautiful, this region lacks good soil for crops and little rainfall. Recently a neutral tribe of orcs have settled this region building their somewhat large city of Gromagogg next to the Vandor Swamp. These orcs enjoy the snakes and insects which thrive in these brackish wetlands. Vandor's orcs have remained neutral and do not participate in the Great War.
